ARTBALEARS.COM is the directory of artists in the Balearic Islands coordinated by the Association of Visual Artists of the Balearic Islands (AAVIB). All of the artists participating in the directory are members of AAVIB, or are artists that have been invited by the Executive Committee of the association to participate in this directory.

AAVIB is the professional association of artists of the Balearic Islands and a member of UAAV, union of visual artist associations, which groups together artist associations from each of the autonomic regions in Spain. Currently there are around 250 members from all four islands, and it is the third largest of all of the associations. It is a non-profit organization, and was founded in 1996. Its functions include: -Represent, defend, and promote the economic, social and cultural interests of visual artists. -Promote solidarity amongst visual artists and program activities which respond to their needs. -Work continually towards the cultural and educational benefit of its members, and have a critical role the area of culture in the Balearic Islands.
